Gingerbeet is a vegan catering company specializing in Cajun and Creole cuisine, based in Washington, DC, since 2020. We offer sumptuous dishes that are not only vegan but also gluten-free, soy-free, and nut-free. Founded by Executive Chef Jenny Lawrence, a passionate advocate for plant-based living, she draws inspiration from her Louisiana roots, infusing her vegan creations with the vibrant flavors of Cajun and Creole cuisine bringing a taste of New Orleans to DC and the DMV. Gingerbeet invites food enthusiasts to savor their innovative vegan bites, showcasing their commitment to mainstreaming plant-based dining, one delicious dish at a time. In addition to catering, Chef Jenny also provides workshops, cooking demos, and personal/private chef services, based on availability.

As a public speaker and business professional with over 17 years in the financial services industry, she has partnered with various organizations as a solo speaker, panelist, and moderator to discuss topics related to entrepreneurship, women in business, plant-based nutrition, benefits of being plant-based along with steps on how to transition to this lifestyle. Jenny has been able to leverage her business acumen to bring awareness to the economic and veganism intersection. She is intentional about educating her community and always willing to share her wealth of knowledge in various forums and platforms.
